What is the fee for Wealth Management?

Accepted Answer

Fee for Wealth Management is 2-tiered.

1. Overall portfolio ex-EWM : 0.2% to 1.2% of AuM basis size of AuM/corpus
2. EWM : 21% of gross profits

EWM =Equity Wealth Management or Pure equity stock market portfolios
Overall portfolios have a management fee only.
EWM portfolios have a performance fee only.

Question 2

Do you have a minimum corpus floor for Wealth Management?

Accepted Answer

This one is a big No.

Industry standards have recently moved floor from INR 25 lac to INR 50 lac for PMSs. Neither are we a PMS nor do we subscribe to that.

From experience we've seen Wealth Management as a need kicking in once corpus reaches a substantial size which in today's numbers would probably be INR 20 lac++ or 5x annual expenses/income but we don't have a floor.

Question 3

Do I have to transfer the corpus to you for Wealth Management? How does it work?

Accepted Answer

We are not a PMS so we don't pool client money in a common escrow account nor do we open specified new Demat accounts for clients with a Power of Attorney for management.

Clients are free to use their existing Demat accounts or open one where they prefer. The money stays in your bank account connected to this Demat account. Actual portfolio investments can be executed either by clients or us as will be detailed out in the WM agreement. We open an Online Investment Account for clients on the NSE where needed.

Do you also manage wealth for retirees or those on the cusp of retirement?

Accepted Answer

Yes.

We have a customised wealth management product specifically for retirement which focusses on post-retirement cashflow generation from investments to support lifestyles with no active income, otherwise called the distribution phase in investing.

This has been something our co-founder Sangeethasruthi has been wanting to do for awhile, it being very close to her heart.
