What is the fee on the Premium service?

INR 60000 pa flat fee as an annual retainer payable upfront in year 1 & monthly year 2 onwards.

Wealth Management fee @ 0.2% to 1% billed annually

Who will be my Financial Coach? Is there any street cred?

Our founder Rahul Kalra.

Rahul started investing at the age of 17, never stopped & found himself financially free (money-wise) at 33.

Along the way he learnt that financial freedom doesn't come with just money or wealth. Financial education that builds intelligence & mindfulness when coupled with money brings about true financial freedom which he calls financial well-being.

At 20 he started his first business, which he successfully sold. A retail business & money management business followed. The former failed miserably while the latter exists even today having evolved into Ashoonya. Worked as a fitness professional-set up an extremely successful micro fitness business & taught at India's best School of Fitness Sciences-K11, had a short stint as a fashion model & played cricket professionally at the IPL level. And today entrepreneurship has become a way of life. He equates entrepreneurship to life & feels entrepreneurship skills & life-skills complement each other.

With his half CA (dropped out of CA midway after an all-India rank), full CFA charter & investing experience, he set up a wealth management company in 2006 which over a period of time has today evolved into Ashoonya, involved with Financial Advice, Financial Planning, Financial Education & Wealth Management.

Today he is one of only 700 SEBI Registered Investment Advisors in India (SEBI RIA)-the gold-standard for Financial Advisors globally.

"Building & nurturing our relationship with money as well as financial skills are essential life-skills" says Rahul. He is one of the first few proponents of ‘Financial Mindfulness’.

Rahul chooses to live a simple yogic nomadic lifestyle & is a self-confessed private person (he calls himself a social media virgin). He feels he has two reasons he's building Ashoonya. To share with people what he's experientially learnt in his life with money & to (re)teach himself & practice entrepreneurial & money skills all over again.

‘We are building India’s most conscious Financial Planning Advisory & Education Business,’ he says. Big & fast doesn’t excite us as much. Significant, profound & organic does.

He works directly with clients as a Coach & is extremely hands-on with their financial planning & education journeys.

Since we intentionally have no social media presence, we suggest clients to set up a consult with us 1-on-1 with Rahul. Why does it say 'Join the Waitlist' for the premium service on your website?

The Premium service is our most personalised & extensive offering. Moreover the USP is that for the Premium Service you will always work 1-on-1 hands-on with our founder Rahul (Until AI replaces him too 😆)

Your Financial Planning will never be delegated to anyone else in the team. The coaching can't be. That is our commitment to you. And that is also why we only take a limited number of clients onto this Service. And as of now we have our hands full. Hence it is waitlisted.

Question 6

Do you have a referral program on the Premium service?

None whatsoever. Neither do we offer any discounts on Premium.

Nonetheless this does not deter our clients from referring us to friends, family & colleagues. We do zero marketing/advertising/social media activity. All our clients have come to us by organic word of mouth.

What we do though for all referrals from Premium clients is we push them up the waitlist.

Question 7

What is your criteria for client intake on Premium?

3 things.

Income above 15-20 lac pa which would imply a sufficient financial footprint for you to even need comprehensive financial planning to begin with.
Willingness to work hands-on on not just your finances but also yourself. Remember personal finance is personal just as much as it is finances.
Openness to new perspectives & different approaches no matter how uncomfortable or difficult it gets.

Question 8

What all isn't included in this Premium service fee?

This list isn't exhaustive.

Things like GST filings & accounts, will-writing with legal assistance, ITR filing for businesses or audit related ITRs, direct stock-market equity portfolios or what we call EWM (Equity Wealth-management), business plans for entrepreneurs on the premium service, business advisory etc are not within the ambit of the INR 60000/- premium fee.

All of these can be added on for a fee which is specified in due course on a case-basis.

Question 9

What if I want to exit from the Premium service?

Accepted Answer

At any time with a 6-month notice period so as to facilitate a smooth transition to all aspects of your financial plan including your investments. All AuA (Assets-under-Advice) can be moved out in this time-frame. Fee for notice-period will have to be paid.

Having said that, in 12 years of existence of the Premium service we have only had 1 client drop out & that was because we got lax in implementation. Lesson well-learnt.
